This city smells like bitumen!

Greetings!
I'm writing this from Ft. McMurray. Why you ask? I have left Edmonton for good to sup from the flank of wealth that grows plump here in the land of oil.
I'm ACTUALLY here because we have completed shooting Losing Will and now Mike and I are back in the Mac for a week to finish all the editing and write tons of music and work with our sound guy Justin to make things look and sound as excellent as they can. We have been here two days and they have been jam packed full of movie magic. By this weekend we will have a very rough cut of the movie that the Young Guns and Mike shall watch on Sunday night. After that we will continue to tighten everything and keep working on sound as it really makes or breaks independent films. I think we also need to talk about when and where we plan to release it.
Also! As you know this weekend is the infamous Soap-A-Thon that Die-Nasty puts on every year. I did it last year and it was a true blast and a half. And a blast from the past. Brendan Fraser dropped by. BUT this year, at midnight on Friday, the Young Guns will be joining the Soap-A-Thon for not one, not two, not three, but four hours! So come check it out midnight Friday till 4 in the morning Saturday. I can't wait. Last year Jules and I came up with a couple funny characters together so hopefully this year, combined with Joe, we can top it.
Alright, back to editing!
Arlen
